94 - Faking it with the Demon by Rhiannon Hartley

We love the fake girlfriend/boyfriend trope! What could make it even better?  If one of the characters involved is a 900 year old demon of course!  Zoephus (Zoe) is an unusual demon since all she wants is another chance at life as a regular human.  Ryan is down in the dumps after losing his fiance to his business partner when he confides in his friend who just happens to be a warlock.  Thanks to a demon deal Zoe and Ryan are stuck together for 50 days, and naturally love ensues.  This book is so sweet and the relationship developing between Zoe and Ryan feels so real.  We loved watching these two characters help each other with their self doubts and weaknesses and gradually fall in love.

93 - Bunny Misfit by Eve Langlais

This third book in the Misfit Series is everything we hoped it would be.  While the Siren Misfit left us a bit disappointed, Bunny Misfit is just as funny and sexy as Eve’s books usually are.  This is the story of Claire (a very unusual bunny shifter) and Derek (a handsome werewolf from her past).  They meet up unexpectedly as both are investigating an organization experimenting on shifters.  Claire and Derek are a cute and funny couple.  She is constantly surprising him with her determination to overcome her fears and help save shifters in danger.  The sex is steamy, the characters are entertaining, and the there is just enough plot to keep the story moving.

92 - Slave to Sensation by Nalini Singh

Oh boy, guys! We haven’t read a Nalini Singh book in years and we are so excited to get back to another amazing story! Sascha Duncan is an emotionless Psy, supposedly, who works hard to keep her position in the Psy dominating society, while also trying to keep her ‘defect’ a secret. That is until she meets Lucas Hunter, alpha of the Changeling clan who is out on the hunt for a killer of several Changeling women. It has always been assumed that Psy do not possess the ability to have emotions, yet, he sees something in Sascha as they are brought together during a business deal. What starts off as dislike, turns to curiosity, lust, and then, yup, you guessed it… squishy, steamy, hot sex and a beautiful relationship between Sascha and Lucas. It is hard to forget a Nalini novel after a sexy one like this!

91 - Angel Rising by LaVerne Thompson

Samuel is an immortal hunter, offspring of a human mother and soulless father.  He has devoted his life to hunting down the soulless who harm and feed on humans.  That is, until he meets Thalya, a soulless woman with the power to capture his heart.  This is a true enemies to lovers story.  Once Thalya meets Samuel she realizes that what she thinks she knows about her and the other soulless is limited and inaccurate.  As the two work together to find out what is going on they are also drawn to each other in inexplicable ways.  Both try to fight their attraction and deny the feelings but there is more to their love than they can fight.  Can their love be an offer of redemption for the soulless?  The teasing scenes of intimacy that keep getting cut short really heighten the sexual tension for the readers as well as the characters. In the end, super unusual and interesting story, great character development, squishy sex scenes! This was a fun book!

90 - Vengeance Denied by Zoey Indiana

We return to the world of Bash and Freya after Freya has successfully brought down the sovereign and publicized the information about the aliens to everyone.  Unfortunately, this results in backlash when the aliens show up, kidnap all the humans, and return to their world with plans of forced procreation or slave labor.  As per usual with Freya and Bash, chaos ensues as different forces try to keep them apart.  Their relationship is tested over and over again but they hold true to each other.  This book is so action packed there isn’t much time for romance and sexy scenes.  Don’t worry, the few we get are quite intense and steamy!  While the book denies us the clean and easy ending we might want, there is more to come in this world and maybe a life without vengeance for Bash and Freya.

89 - A Shift in the Water by Patricia Eddy

This was an emotional read.  Mara is struggling with a lifelong mystery illness that she is losing the battle with.  Cade has lost his whole wolfpack, been kidnapped, tortured, and is on the verge of death.  When Mara finds Cade as a dying wolf it feels like her final act on earth will be to either ease his passing or nurse him back to health.  Luckily, this is a romance novel so we get the love story and both characters helping to heal the other’s trauma.  The feelings between Cade and Mara felt real and grew over time in a very natural way.  Since Cade is a wolf and mates for life we get extra hot sexy times when they finally succumb to their feelings and get dirty!  We loved this book and will definitely read the rest of the series.
