We did, however, have an amazing time interviewing Aurora Ascher in preparation for the release of Sanctuary of the Shadow and we welcome you all to join us! But just a quick snip for interested readers… in this book we meet Harrow, the last of her kind surviving by disguising herself as a seer in a circus. She remembers how she became the lone survivor of her entire clan’s massacre but doesn’t understand why until her story begins to unravel after meeting a new circus attraction - him. 149 - Wicked Bite by Jeaniene Frost

Yet again we are venturing back into a series that we love and adore. And we are glad we did! This week we read Wicked Bite, book two of the Night Rebel series by Jeaniene Frost where we are delighted to see Ian and Veritas again. Now we haven’t forgotten how much we loved Ian but we sure did miss him. And so did Veritas even though she denies it and tries to chase him away once he finds her again. But all too persistent, with his heart and his pants, Ian can’t resist pestering her and telling her over and over and over how much he loves her and how much he wants to break beds with her. There are bad guys in this book, we find out she has a brother, actiony action and sexy sex, oh and it ends with all of us finding out (including Veritas) that she was secretly betrothed before she was born. What the shit?!

We took another turn down fantasy, sci-fi, YA with this incredible love story, “The Tinderbox: Soldier of Indira.” Inspired by The Tinderbox Soldier by Hans Christian Anderson and the beautiful illustrations of his wife, Yvonne, Lou elegantly presents us with a young couple growing up in a dystopian world where their opposite sides are torn apart by war. Everson is unwillingly thrown into enemy territory, and Allegra is trying to survive her father’s attempt to kill her. Then a fortuitous meeting between the two occurs, through the powers of a Tinderbox, forming an intense forbidden attraction. But can this relationship save both their suffering worlds?
