Dragons, dragons, dragons! We just cannot get enough of dragon-shifters. In Jessie Donovan’s dragon world, the Skyhunter clan is left in turmoil at the end of Marcus King’s terrible reign. Asher and Honoria were teenage sweethearts, now they are competing to become the new leader of clan Skyhunter. As their passion begins to reignite, they realize they are better as a team and fight to lead the clan together. Instead of fighting each other for dominance, both in bed and in the throne room, they work together and take turns being on top! This book is a beautiful example of how two dominant leaders can work together and share authority, and some great sex! This was a small taste of the dragon world created by Jessie and we can’t wait to read more. 51 - The Dragonling's Very Special Valentine's by S.E Smith

To celebrate Valentine’s Day we chose this fun, short story from the Dragon Lords of Valdier series by SE Smith. The bedtime story of a lonely lady and stone-hearted warrior is too exciting for the dragonlings who decide they need to go to Earth and help the two characters find love. What ensues is a comedy of errors as small dragon shifters and their dragon lord fathers explore Valentine’s Day. This was a cute and fun dip into a much bigger world that SE Smith has created. We were left intrigued and interested to go back and read these books from the beginning. 50 - Wicked Love/ Wicked Truth By Lisa Manifold/Corinne O'Flynn

We loved the first Midnight Coven books so much we wanted to go back to them for our 50th episode and invited Lisa Manifold and Corinne O’Flynn to join us! These books are from the third and our favorite season of the Midnight Coven. The shared world of the Cursed Coven books forces all the witches to face their greatest fear and in the process, find their happily ever after! Wicked Love - It is never easy living with the sins of your family, especially in a small insular community. Melasina desperately wants to be seen for who she is not as the daughter of an exiled necromancer. Jasper on the other hand, put his alcoholic mother in his rearview mirror and has lived his life making sure to stay on the straight and narrow. The desire the feel for each other along with Thea’s curse is threatening their carefully crafted lives and forcing them to face their greatest fears. These witches show that doing what appears to be right is not necessarily right and that love can ease the burden of the past. Also, phone sex! :) Wicked Truth - Both Ivy and Anton are struggling with the burden of a life chosen for them by others. Ivy is on the path toward an arranged marriage her mother has been planning for most of Ivy’s life. Anton has been asked to accept the role of Alph and lead beside Jade, putting his desire for a fated mate aside to do what is best for the pack. But fate intervenes and a chance meeting, followed by delightful sex, gives them both a glimps of a different future. Thea’s curse highlights how important it is for Ivy to speak her truth and forge her own path in life. 49 - Waking the Watcher by Kim Loraine

Whoa! When we started this book Kim Loraine told us we were in for a naughty one and she wasn’t kidding. Following the rather chaste YA book we read last episode this one gave us all the squishy scenes we could desire! The story of fallen angels hiding out as watchers on Earth and waiting to find either their soulmates or a way back into Heaven was a fascinating backdrop for the relationship between Galen and Reece. However, the sex is so good you might find yourself loosing the plot like we did a couple of times. Loraine fills this book with flawed but beautiful characters and makes you care about their survival. Then to top it off, she writes a word perfect scene to show consent and how to respond when consent has been withdrawn. 48 - My Wolf and Me by India R. Adams

This book is the first Young Adult/New Adult book we have read for our podcast and a bit out of our comfort zone. While the book may not be as steamy as some we have read in the past, there is no denying the romance that builds between Marlena and Sebastian/Romy. The is a beautiful book full of some of the best relationship building I have ever read. We are witness to the amazing love between Marlena and her parents, the iron-strong friendship Marlena builds with Trevor and Jimmy, and the tender romantic love of soulmates Marlena and Sebastian. When the danger Marlena fears shows us and destroys their peace be prepared to ugly cry. This book does not pull punches and takes you on a full emotional rollercoaster in the end. Up on the Rooftop, Visions of Sugar Plums, Dressed in Holiday Style We picked this trio of novellas to help get us in the holiday mood. The first story is a bit of a miss as the romance between Julka and Marshall falls a bit flat. But the emotions and romance really take off in the second and third stories. Much to our surprise and delight, these fun stories of holiday elves and magic also contain important discussions about serious social issues like poverty and public health. In the second story, Nissa and Ryan fall in love while struggling to find ways to change the old system that allows and encourages unhealthy ideas. We both agree the third story is our favorite. The relationship between Raine and Niko seems to falter but after years apart they receive a second chance at love. By the end of the three books not only were we in the holiday mood but we were thoroughly in love with these characters!
